David Barnard-Wills
Department of Informatics and Systems Engineering, Cranfield University
David holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Nottingham, as well as an MA in Political Science (Research Track) with Distinction, and a first class BA in Politics. He has previously worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Birmingham, and the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. His research interests encompass the politics of technology and security, and his published research includes work on surveillance, identity, discourse, counter-terrorism and cyber security. For VOME his work has included analysing discourses around online privacy and consent, including E-Safety and online identity management. He has also designed and developed the Privacy educational card game.
