Michael Dowd

Michael is a member of VOME’s Salford team and is currently engaged in PhD research. Prior to joining VOME Michael completed an undergraduate degree in Politics at The University of Salford. Originally from County Durham, Michael has now lived and studied in Manchester for five years.

His current research investigates how young adults understand, manage and negotiate their privacy across diverse online settings including social networking sites, instant messaging services and online forums. Young adults are currently being recruited to participate in this research by sharing their attitudes, practices and experiences through interviews.
